Midnight studio rambles #1 & #2, 2003
Midnight Studio Rambles #1 & #2 are tapes I made in 2003 comprised of sculptural sets I built in my studio. In these ‘rambles,’ through the camera, vision occurs outside of the body, assuming the role of a displaced ‘rambler.’ And so through a slow and methodical tracing of the objects and sets with this visual apparatus, consciousness also seems to meld with material outside the body, bringing together visual and haptic senses in an unfamiliar sensorial hybrid.
